Here at JanSan we supply robust colour coded cleaning equipment in order to enhance your cleaning supplies, but also to aid you in your cleaning abilities. Colour coded cleaning is often used throughout establishments within designated areas in order to prevent cross contamination and the spread of germs and bacteria. We provide colour coded equipment from industry-leading suppliers, so you can treat yourselves to JanSan prices without compromising on quality.
Our range of colour coded supplies includes a range of brush ware, buckets and mops and are either green, red, yellow or blue so they can be easily allocated to the designated area within a business. It is well known that one of the risks of cross contamination is a greater spread of infection rates, so the most effective way for you to reduce this risk, if you haven’t already, is to invest in some colour coded cleaning. Standardising your cleaning practises is essential in areas such as hospitals where the standard of hygiene needs to be a priority, as you wouldn’t want to clean your kitchen with a brush that has been used in your bathroom.
Red equipment is normally assigned to high-risk areas where the presence of germs and bacteria will be highest, this involves restroom cleaning where there is the presence of facilities such as toilets and urinals, that are used by people many times a day. Yellow has been designated with clinical use, and are often used to clean all other washroom surfaces such as washbasins, mirrors and walls. This prevents someone from using a wipe on a toilet seat to clean the taps on the sink, which could encourage the spread of harmful bacteria. Blue, on the other end of the spectrum, are used in lower-risk areas (excluding spaces where food may be prepared). This could include cleaning the floors in an office or just general public areas where there could be a lower risk of bacterial contamination. Finally, green products are to be used within areas where food and drink is prepared, including kitchens and restaurants. Surfaces where raw food has been exposed present it with a higher risk of bacterial contamination, therefore it is vital to keep the colour codes regulated within these areas.
