VivaDiag SARS-CoV-2 Ag Rapid Test is based on immunoassay technology for the rapid, qualitative detection of the nucleocapsid protein antigen from SARS-CoV-2 in human oropharyngeal or nasopharyngeal swab specimens. The test generates a result within 15 minutes identifying people infected with COVID-19 quickly helping to contain the spread of the virus.
The kit contains all items required including swab, extraction tube, extraction solution and lateral flow test device. No specialised equipment or personnel is required to use this test. The tests can be performed in any setting at any time by trained personnel, i.e for professional use only
This lateral flow Covid-19 Rapid Antigen Test Kit is for simple for trained personnel to administer delivering accurate results rapidly using the oropharyngeal or nasopharyngeal swab specimen.
With the specimen collected insert the swab into the extraction tube filled with extraction solution. Having removed a testing device from the sealed pouch apply 3 drops of the solution and wait 15 mins before reading the test, a positive or negative result is clearly indicated.
This Covid-19 Rapid Antigen Test Kit has an overall accuracy of 98.79%, a specificity of 99.12% and a sensitivity of 90.90% providing full assurance of fast, accurate, reliable results.
These tests should be used as part of a fully integrated COVID-19 strategy, helping identify those infected to reduce the spread of the virus. VivaDiag™ SARS-CoV-2 Ag Rapid Test has ONLY been designed to act as a supplementary test for suspected cases of negative coronavirus nucleic acid detection or in conjunction with nucleic acid detection in the diagnosis of suspected cases. Results from nucleocapsid protein antigen testing should not be used as the sole basis to diagnose or exclude SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) infection or to inform infection status.
